Our History

Born from a Belief in Meaningful Love

Herzband was founded by Dr. Ingrid Kaufmann and her husband Stefan after they witnessed so many of their brilliant, warm-hearted friends struggling to find genuine connection in an increasingly digital world.

What started as a small office in Munich with a vision to bring back the human element to meeting a life partner has grown into a team of 34 dedicated professionals across 12 German cities — having united over 4,800 couples along the way.

We have never wavered from our founding belief: that every person deserves to be truly known before being introduced to someone equally worthy of knowing them.

Founded in Munich

Dr. Ingrid Kaufmann opens the first Herzband office in Schwabing with a team of three.

2008

Expansion to Berlin & Hamburg

We celebrate our 500th couple and open offices in two more major German cities.

Launch of International Search
